city life = the good life

Hola todos, Mi nueva compañera es Hermana Tica! Shes from Cusco, Peru! Shes finishing her mission this transfer!! in the mission we say 'shes dying, so Im the compañera that is going to kill her' but its just a joke! AH so we'll be together just one transfer haha, idk what will happen then after and what companera or if im going to train? Also, Ive been out 7 months now!! AH! the time is going by soo fast. In two weeks we are going to skype with our families for mother day!!! We already had a baptism yesterday!? haha it was crazy ! I got to my compañera and she said that 'we are going to have a baptism this sunday so get ready to work!' and it happened , it was a 9 yr old boy se llama Nataniel. Hes super great, it was sweet at his baptism because he was crying because he felt the spirit so strong and said 'thank you mama for this opportunity'.  my new Area, Libertador, is bacially the captial of this province San Juan. Its ALL RICH PEOPLE! haha the opposite ...

one week left?

hola todos, this week was good, becuase we had a lot more lessons with members and are finding more investifgadores! I might have just one week left here!! I dont know where I will go, or with what companion. But I hope I will adjust well haha. Well, the investigador that came to church last week broke our heart because she said that she felt empty in the church and didnt like. so that really didnt make any sense but okay haha. It was super sad to hear her whole story. We are going one more time to teach her but then if she doesnt progress anymore and still feels 'empty,' we are going to drop her. I dont think shes really prepared now, maybe in the future   My companion has been better with her health ,we went to the hospital 2 times this week for her tests and everything is fine I guess?! it was strange. But, we have to massage her back they say for her blood flow. So we have an appt for a massage with a lady tonight!  The other people we are teaching are doing well, but still...

hospital trip round 2 (3?)

hola todos, so this week mi comañera fainted Saturday!! she fainted ON ME! INTO MY ARMS! haha soo that was crazy. We had lunch kinda far away in bikes, and we got back to the apartment and there was a funeral outside (remember we live above a funeral home?) and all the people were there waiting to go in, and it just so happed that one of our investigadores and less active members were there. We talked for like 3 minutes with them and my comp says 'hermana I dont feel so good' and went to sit down for a minute, and I said 'ok hermana we'll go sit in the apartment in a sec,' but then we started walking towards the stairs, and she leaned on the wall, and fainted right on top of me basically! into my arms! and I couldnt hold her because she is like 2X my size!! AH! it was crazy, and she fell onto the ground kinda, I ran to get the people that we know come help becuase I was freaking out! We tried testing her pulse and it was super low apparently. so they called the poli...

I love easter and we had general conference to celebrate it this weekend! it was so great, the apóstoles talked to us about the resurrection a lot, and the atonement of Jesus Christ. I am so greatful for them and the new prophet Russell M Nelson!! Here in Argentina they dont really do anything for easter haha like the US, but they eat chocolate eggs and thats about it. We had 6 investigadores attend the conference! it was a great day, and the members of the branch all went too! My favorite talk was by Elder Bendar, my fav apostol, about 'mansedumbre' which is in spanish I know haha, but I dont know how to translate it into inglish idk? (We watched the conference all in spanish) but it was bascially about humilty and becoming like the Savior. Also, I loved Massimo de Feo or something like that, his talk w...
Hola todos, this week it was starting to get cold?! and I am not really used to it all the time now haha but, it is better than dying of heat haha! Also, my compañera dyed my hair!! haha she wanted to because I told her that I wanted to go back to darker brown, and she did pretty well so that was an adventure haha. she tells me that I look more like a latina now haha. my compañera completed UN AÑO el a mision!! shes been out for a year now! ah! and I've been out 6 months now, officially tomorrow! que loco, the time goes by like that ( insert finger snap) Also, the Argentine Peso has gone up in inflation, soo that is a real bummer. Everything here is more expensive, because the president did something idk what exaclty beause we cant watch news haha. But that means the US dollar is worth even more!! (good for me) we have been working with more less actives, because there are like 250 inactive members here because muchos were baptized when a lot of gringos came, and did it ...

I biked a half marathlon...

Hola todos, so saturday I did a 'half marathlon' on our bikes, yeah I almost died! it was like 25 kilométricos. my legs are still super dead and it hurts to walk haha. We went to an area SUPER far away, like 2 hours away to contact someone! and we didn´t know the schedule of the buses there! ugh I really died that day haha, we were a little lost, but found the address, but THEY WERE NOT HOME! sooo to still use up the oportunity of being there and not waste time, we found some new investigadores. I was pooped though. Its a miracle that Im alive haha, my arms, hands, face and feet are all tanned a lot more now haha. it took up the whole afternoon sat.  I also have gastritis now...which means that my stomach has been inflammed, and I didn´t really realize it lol until last week, because I felt like a fire in my stomach and throat. I felt like throwing up but I couldnt!? So the mision presidents wife gave me some medicine which has helped a lot this past week! I have a special diet...

I AM SO HAPPY! Hermana Reyes is litterally the best person I have met here and I am soo blessed and lucky to know her and to have her as my companion!! I really feel that we were meant to be together, and knew each other in heaven before this life. We are so close, and everyday is amazing with her. We have never had an argument, or anything bad happen, its just amazing. I will cry so much when I have to say goodbye to her...Im thinking about going to el salvador when i finish the mision to live with her and her family instead of going home!
