Adventures of Hermana Martines

hola Todos, Happy Late Thanksgiving!! This week was great, I learned so much more!! I am learning that really an attitude of gratitude is what makes any experience great! I love it. Sometimes it takes sacrifices, really hard work, and getting out of our comfort zone to accomplish something big or different. I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and enjoyed time with your families or friends!! tuesday , we went to the Martinez family for lunch! haha they are like my long lost familia they say. So they asked me what my first name was, Chelsea, and when I told them, they thought it was so cute haha?! They were like oh how bonita! Then they asked if I had a nickname, and I said, well, some people call me Chels, like close friends or family. And they were like oh haha so pretty! Haha it was funny to hear them try to say my name with a spanish acent. But then after I hear them say my name, my mind went to English!? so Then I accidentý started speaking in English!! jajajaja! it

hola todos, Oh my gosh I´m in Argentina!! I can´t even explain everything that has happened this last week or so..it has been so much! So we left last Monday in the morning from the MTC and it took 2 DAYS to get here! The flight was like 14 hours long, from Salt Lake to Altanta, then to Buenos Aires, then to Mendoza. I was exhausted and so tired and gross after all that travel haha. So my area is called Lavalle (La va shay). It is an hour and 20 minutes from Medoza, the main city here. My companion is Hermana Serrano, she is from Buenos Aires and doesn´t speak English jaja but it has been okay and I have learned already so much from her. But so here is a list of all the things different here in Argentina, well Lavalle specifially too: -the people speak so fast and slur everything so I can catch like 30-40% of what everyone says to me -The food here is AMAZING though!!! Hola todos!  Sorry this week I dont have too much time because we have to share the computers so I have like 20 minutes but Ill do a quick update! And try to send pictures actually ahhaha sorry I didnt upload is right last time. This week I have learned to make the best of where you are at, and make is zion wherever you are at! I have learned to enjoy every moment because every moment is only given to you once! If you have the opportunity to grow, enjoy yourself, then go for it, you might as well make it a positive experience right!? We had a blessing Wednesday because one of our investigators, Elmer, who is 14, is going to be BAPTIZED! only my first 2 weeks in the field and I have a baptism date?!?!!! Oh my gosh!!!!! God is so merciful and kind, He is a God of miracles today! (Mormon chp 9)! I also have learned that God teaches you poco a poco, little by little jajaja. He tries us with our faith and patience but is also so merciful and answers prayers.  I love going to the rural parts

Sorry I sent that other one on accident too early!! haha! So Hola again, This is my last week here like I said haha, so I'll be in Argentina in 2 days! It is so crazy and surreal to think that and imagine actually being there, for a year and a half! And it will be warm there!! SO weird haha, I'll have to get used to the southern hemisphere! So my next P-day also won't be next Saturday again most likely, it will change so I'll have to tell you all about how it goes later. This week one of the best parts was Halloween!!! It was the best one yet, because we dressed up (me and my companion) as M&M's! it was so cute! We are Martines and Mallet, so that's why haha. There are going to be pictures attached from it. Me and Mallett also gave everyone cute Halloween gifts/notes with jokes and pictures on it, glow sitcks and candy!! It was so cute they all loved it jaja!
