Adventures of Hermana Martines

Hola todos, ¿Cómo están este semana? Espero que tengan un buen semana!! This week, well, it was good, but we honestly didn´t teach that much as we have in the past, but we have high goals for this week! We had exchanges, and we also had a open house for the chapel! (The church building), called capilla abierta! It also was SSOOOO hot this week!! I almost died! me and Hna Serrano were dying haha, I am glad we lived!!! We went to visit one of the investigadores again that needs to get married, Joana, tuesday and her and Juanjo, her boyfriend, still are not really progressing...it is frustrating kind of haha becuase they have known the truth for a long time but still just put off the wedding because of material things, like money, and all the decorations that they want I guess. Wednesday we went did intercambios, exchanges again!! It was so fun, this time with Hna Neres, my sister training leader. She is SO sweet, she is the best, I love her sooo much, she is from Brazil! the money here! sorry I forgot to send this, the money is great for me here because 17 Pesos=1 USdollar. So I am rich here!!! Everything is so cheap in American money terms! Also, our area is HUGE, it used tobe onlyfor Elders, because it is as big as my county. SMC is myarea haha, sowe bike or take the bus everywhere for appointments! hola todos! Hola todos, how are you all doing?! I love you all!!This week was pretty good, I hit my 2 month mark in the misión! WAHOO!YAY! Crazy!jaja.Sometimes the time feels like forever, other times, it feels like it has been hardly any time at all. So last pday, we went to centro, Mendoza the city, jaja we do everytime because it is better than just being in our area Lavalle, and we went shopping!! Just going to all the stores, and we got churros and chocolate!! SO GOOD!  Tuesday we did exchanges! Intercambios!! It was so fun, haha I went to centro again, Mendoza city, with Hermana Olson. She is from a small town in Utah, she is super nice!! But it was funny kind of because we counldnt actually do any appointments or teaching because her appartment had some problems with the water heater, so a guy had to come and fix it and replace a new one and it took 5 HOURS! So the whole day was waiting for him lol but he was super nice,he is a member and we just talked about his mission, he served in Bueno...

hola Todos, Happy Late Thanksgiving!! This week was great, I learned so much more!! I am learning that really an attitude of gratitude is what makes any experience great! I love it. Sometimes it takes sacrifices, really hard work, and getting out of our comfort zone to accomplish something big or different. So they asked me what my first name was, Chelsea, and when I told them, they thought it was so cute haha?! They were like oh how bonita! Then they asked if I had a nickname, and I said, well, some people call me Chels, like close friends or family. And they were like oh haha so pretty! Haha it was funny to hear them try to say my name with a spanish acent. But then after I hear them say my name, my mind went to English!? so Then I accidentý started speaking in English!! jajajaja! it ...

hola todos, Oh my gosh I´m in Argentina!! I can´t even explain everything that has happened this last week or so..it has been so much! So we left last Monday in the morning from the MTC and it took 2 DAYS to get here! The flight was like 14 hours long, from Salt Lake to Altanta, then to Buenos Aires, then to Mendoza. I was exhausted and so tired and gross after all that travel haha. So my area is called Lavalle (La va shay). It is an hour and 20 minutes from Medoza, the main city here. My companion is Hermana Serrano, she is from Buenos Aires and doesn´t speak English jaja but it has been okay and I have learned already so much from her. But so here is a list of all the things different here in Argentina, well Lavalle specifially too: -the people speak so fast and slur everything so I can catch like 30-40% of what everyone says to me -The food here is AMAZING though!!!
